In BSuit ERP, open Finance & Accounting and choose “Comparative Profit Loss”, or go directly to the address /finance-management/comparative-profit-loss.

#How the numbers are calculated

Comparative Profit & Loss — the same report built twice (current period + a comparison period) sharing one chart-of-accounts scan, with a grand-total variance (amount + %). A sibling of <see cref="ProfitAndLoss"/> rather than a `compare_*` param on it: the response shape differs (two full reports + variance vs. one), so overloading the single-period route would force every existing caller to branch on an optional nested shape.

#How to run a comparative profit loss report

Reports are read-only: running one never changes data.

1. Open Finance & Accounting › Comparative Profit Loss from the menu.
2. Set any date range or filters shown at the top of the page.
3. Run or refresh the report so the figures reflect your filters.
4. Use Export to download what you see.
5. Use Print to print or save it as a PDF.
6. If the numbers look wrong, check the filters, the selected company and the accounting period before contacting support.

#Observed on a running system

On 2026-09-21 this page was opened in a browser as a test administrator. This is what was visible on screen. Your own view can differ with your role, data and settings.

#If something is missing or fails

1. No data: confirm the company or context selected in the top bar, and any filters or date range in use.
2. An action is hidden or disabled: it usually needs a permission your role does not have. Ask an administrator to check your effective access.
3. An error message appears: note the message, the page address and what you were doing, and contact support with those details (never include passwords).
